The 2023 Math Bee will be held in-person.

Central Rivers All Agency Bee

The 2023 Math Bee will be held on Monday, May 1st, 2023.

In the interest of minimizing the amount of paper copies we produce, we will no longer be printing the packets of the past winners for each participant.  However, teachers, students and/or parents are welcome to view or print the file of past winners if they wish.

Tentative Schedule for the day

Teams will compete in-person Monday May 1st.  A tentative schedule will be posted in mid April.

Who is eligible?

Any student who attends a school in Central Rivers AEA and is currently in sixth grade regardless of the level of math they are taking. This competition is open to sixth graders only.

Test topics

Test topics will mirror the Iowa Core Math Domains at 6th Grade. The topics will be The Number System, Expressions and Equations, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, Ratio and Proportional Relationships. There is one group test that involves questions from any of the testing topics. Students will be able to use calculators on any testing round. Students will need to bring their own calculators and pencils with them.

Practice Tests

You can use previously used tests to give your students extra practice or hold your own Math Bee to determine who is eligible to go to the all-agency Math Bee.  To access practice tests, please complete this form.  After completing the form, you will receive an email with a link to a folder that contains previous years’ tests.

Calculators

Calculators can be used during most testing rounds.  The exception is that phones cannot be used as your calculator.

Registration information and deadlines
