    • To provide leadership in the continuous study and improvement of all programs and services of the agency.

Executive Directors

  • Executive Director of Educational Services
    • To lead, budget, plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the educational service area staff and activities which assist local educational agencies to develop, modify, continue, or enhance ongoing educational programs and services of CRAEA and the local school districts serviced by the AEA.
  • Executive Director of Special Education
    • To provide appropriate educational programs and services to individuals with disabilities birth to 21 years of age within the parameters of the Federal law, Iowa law, Department of Education, and CRAEA Board Policy.

    • HR Office Support Staff and other staff as designated by the Chief Administrator
  • Chief Financial Officer
    • Responsible for leadership and overall coordination of the business and financial affairs of CRAEA. Specific responsibilities for planning, organization and implementation of the fiscal operations of the Agency, including business operations, budgeting, funds management, financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. Development of financial outreach services and supports to assist local school business officers and school leaders.
  • Director of Communications & Creative Services
    • Provides leadership in developing and facilitating a systemic organizational communication plan that engenders support, understanding and awareness of Central Rivers AEA. Assists the Chief Administrator and Administrative Cabinet substantially and effectively in actions related to the agency communications plan and overall agency mission as related to both internal and external communication and public relations.
  • Director of Media
    • To lead, budget, plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the educational support activities which assist local educational agencies to develop, modify, continue or enhance ongoing educational programs and services of CRAEA and local the school districts serviced by the AEA.
  • Director of Information Technology and Special Programs
    • To provide appropriate educational programs and services to individuals with disabilities
      birth to 21 years of age within the parameters of the Federal law, Iowa law, Department of Education, and CRAEA Board Policy. Provide leadership and support of technology services to external clients and internal clients. Provide leadership to English Language Learner educators in curriculum, instruction, assessment and school improvement. Provide leadership to LEA administrators so that CTE mandates from the Department of Education are implemented in school districts.
  • Director of Professional Learning
    • Innovative leadership to create a culture of learning for CRAEA internal and external stakeholders.
  • Director of Special Programs
    • To provide appropriate educational programs and services to individuals with disabilities birth to 21 years of age within the parameters of the Federal law, Iowa law, Department of Education, and CRAEA Board Policy.

Principal – Special Education

  • Principal – River Hills School
    • The Special Education Principal, as part of the administrative team, is essentially responsible to help, develop, manage, monitor, and evaluate specific AEA sponsored instructional programs.

Regional Administrators

  • Regional Administrator
    • Participates as a member of the AEA’s leadership team and promotes AEA’s vision and core values in daily work. Serves as the administrative liaison between the AEA and local school districts and participates in the local school administrative team meetings. Supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school improvement plans. Supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school technology supports. Supports AEA staff and local school districts in implementing special education procedures to ensure appropriateness of services for students requiring special education. Aligns and allocates resources to ensure the delivery of quality agency services. Establishes, implements and evaluates agency activities in response to best practices and changing client needs. Manages, supervises and evaluates effectiveness of AEA staff assigned to local school districts within designated region.
  • Regional Administrator Assistant
    • Participates as a member of the AEA ’s leadership team and serves as an assistant to the assigned Regional Administrator. Serves as the administrative liaison between the AEA and local school districts and participates in the local school administrative team meetings. Assists the RA and supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school improvement plans. Assists the RA and supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school technology supports. Assists the RA and supports AEA staff and local school districts in implementing special education procedures to ensure appropriateness of services for students requiring special education. Assists the RA to aligns and allocate resources to ensure the delivery of quality agency services. Establishes, implements and evaluates agency activities in response to best practices and changing client needs. Manages, supervises and evaluates effectiveness of AEA staff assigned to local school districts within designated region. Develops AEA staff to improve practices aligned to agency goals and local school district needs.

Supervisors

  • Supervisor of Buildings/Maintenance
    • To coordinate the custodial, maintenance, and grounds operations of the agency in order to maintain the optimum usage of office and school facilities and equipment for the educational programs of the agency.
