Title III mini-grant opportunity to support English learners open for applications
Through Title III and Central Rivers AEA, districts can apply for financial reimbursement for supplemental material and family engagement for English learners. Grants will be awarded up to $1000 in the categories of technology, family engagement or supplemental instructional resources. Application instructions can be found below.
To apply:
- Complete the Grant Application Form (*Below is a list of the questions on the application so you can have your information ready to input in one setting.)
- After submission, email Annalisa Miner or Lisa Wymore, letting them know you have submitted a request.
- Within two weeks, districts will be notified from Central Rivers AEA on the status of the application.
- Upon approval, the district will receive details on the submission for reimbursement.
Other considerations:
- Grants will be awarded up to $1000.
- Awarded applications will be required to complete a Grant Summary report sent at the end of the year to address the below questions:
- Celebrations? Impact?
- What lessons were learned?
- Would you recommend this resource/activity to others?
*Please note: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and funds are limited. The review team will consider multiple factors (such as prior grant approvals, immediate needs, etc.) to guide the decision-making in order to most equitably meet as many needs as possible.
Application Questions (to prepare to complete the Google form):
- District
- Person Submitting the Request
- Administrator Approving the Request/email
- Grade-levels Impacted: Checkboxes for level (preschool/elementary/Intermediate/MS/HS)
- Targeted student group: checkboxes for: elementary recent arrivers, secondary recent arrivers, beginners, intermediate, SLIFE students, other
- Identify the anticipated number of ELs impacted
- For family engagement projects: identify the number of family members impacted [enter 0 (zero) if the request is not for family engagement]
- Area of learning mini-grant will impact: checkboxes for: language development, literacy, math, SEL, general academics
- For which type of mini-grant is the district applying? Checkboxes for: technology, family engagement, supplemental instructional resources
- Provide a brief summary of how these funds will be used to support instruction and learning of English learners (and/or families)
- Detail specific item expenditures that will be requested for Title III Reimbursement. Include Resource/Items, Quantity and Cost. (look at ‘List’ option)
- Total amount of request
- I agree to complete a Grant Summary Report by May 15th and I understand if we fail to complete this report, future requests may not be funded. (check boxes)
