TNTP (formerly known as The New Teacher Project) learning series coming to Central Rivers AEA
Central Rivers AEA is proud to bring you the TNTP Learning Series. This series is committed to supporting districts to address unfinished learning, both pre-existing and pandemic related. The TNTP Learning Series will ensure teachers and leaders have the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to accelerate and build a capacity for excellent instruction.
TNTP (formerly known as The New Teacher Project) is a nonĀprofit whose mission is to end the injustice of educational inequality by advancing policies and practices to ensure effective teaching in all classrooms that lead to stronger outcomes for all students. There will be two phases available with phase one starting October 24 and phase two coming in 2023.
Phase 1: Introduction to Learning Acceleration (Course #204210):
- Build the foundation
- Explore TNTP’s foundational research studies supporting the need and tackling myths.
- Complete a systems reflection to identify personal readiness and identify trends in your districts.
- Learn how to use tools to assess access to grade-level instruction and high-quality materials.
- Use observation protocol to evaluate the quality of instruction and plan supports.
Phase 2: Application and Coaching (coming 2023):
- Cohort learning TNTP/AEA/Schools
- Planning structures and support.
- Go deeper into the learning and implementing practices in schools.
- Grade-appropriate assignment norming tools.
- Observation and feedback walkthrough coaching.
- Side-by-side coaching with a gradual release.
