Media Services Give-Away 2021
Central Rivers AEA Media Services strives to maintain a current collection of resources for our schools. In order to maintain the currency and relevance of our materials, each summer our media collection is reviewed, or “weeded”, to remove dated or underutilized material. The weeded material is then offered to school districts that may have a need for these resources. In order to provide equity to our give-away process, Media Services has created a website so that all teachers may request material. Each year, different sections of the AEA Media Collection are reviewed and this year our focus was DVDs, although you may see some other formats available. You can access this website via this unique link, Central Rivers AEA GetMedia Give-Away 2021, OR by clicking on the link on our main catalog page (see image below). The site is open for teacher requests as of October, 18th 2021. You may order giveaway material using a process very similar to ordering regular media material from our GetMedia Catalog.
Things to keep in mind:
- You will be prompted to log into your GetMedia account to select these items.
- If you do not remember your password, please click the forgot password link on the giveaway site
- For equity, please only select 5 give-away items per day
- Requested items will arrive through our van delivery system within the next two weeks
- You will see a return date on the label, but please ignore it.
- A bright yellow sticker labeled GetMedia GiveAway will also be attached to your requested item(s) as a visual reminder.
