TAG – monthly challenges

The Central Rivers AEA Talented and Gifted Consultants are excited to announce that this year, we will be hosting virtual monthly challenges.  At the start of each month, we will be posting a “challenge” that students can work on and submit pictures of by the last day of the month.  While we are planning the challenges with 3rd-8th grade students in mind, parents and teachers should feel comfortable adapting the challenges to fit any child or any age range.  It is important, however, that the work is completed by the students.  We want them to be ones thinking, problem-solving, creating, and learning!

ThinkingPlease note, this is not a competition – this is simply an opportunity for students to practice important universal constructs and skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and flexibility/adaptability.  We will ask that any students who would like to share their creations to send us a picture and we will post these on our TAG blog at the conclusion of each challenge.

We are hoping that this opportunity is one that could be utilized regardless of the learning environment – working on these challenges could happen in the face to face environment, hybrid environment, or fully remote environments.

Stay tuned…. our first challenge will be posted before the start of October!

Update:  We have now released our first TAG challenge, as well as a sneak peek of the challenges that are coming this year..  Make sure to check out our October challenge.
