New evaluator approval course available

A new course will be available for licensure renewal for administrators in March of 2023. This is a hybrid course that meets face-to-face once, the rest is done online via a learning management system. Reach out to Mandie Sanderman, Consultant for Science, with any questions.

Course description:
The Iowa-adopted Next Generation Science Standards provide not only content but guidance on best practices in science instruction. As instructional leaders, it is important for administrators to know and understand the NGSS innovations as they guide and evaluate teachers in the area of science. This course will provide five hours of face-to-face instruction blended with 10 hours of online coursework through Canvas to allow you to better recognize best practices in science instruction and how these practices differ from traditional instruction.
