Fall math course coming to Clear Lake Central Rivers AEA Office


Dr. Jennifer Schilling will be offering a course focused on building number sense through instructional routines in secondary math classrooms beginning this fall. The course will provide teachers support and resources in implementing opening routines such as:

  • Number Talks
  • Algebra Talks
  • Connecting Representations
  • 3 Reads

These routines help students engage in conversations around meaningful mathematics and make sense of computational problems involving rational numbers. General education math teachers in grades 6-12, special education teachers, instructional coaches, interventionists and administrators are encouraged to take this course #160488, section #312137. All sessions will be held throughout 5 Monday evenings, located at the Clear Lake AEA Office, from 5-8:00 pm and one license renewal credit can be earned. Dates available this fall include:

  • August 22
  • September 12 and 26
  • October 10 and 24
