Central Rivers AEA launches English-Language (EL) teacher pilot

It is important that Central Rivers AEA services are aligned in a way that is responsive to the current needs of districts. There are increasing instances of low-incidence districts needing access to an EL-certified teacher on an intermittent basis in a limited capacity. In response to this need, CRAEA is piloting a certified English-Language (EL) teacher position that qualifying districts can access on an as-needed basis during the 22-23 school year.

Through this partnership, qualifying districts have the opportunity to contract services on a per-student/hourly basis, with direct instruction to be provided virtually (with the potential for some in-person instruction). Districts will have access to a certified EL teacher and CRAEA EL consultants for support and coaching in the general education setting.

For more information, check out the EL Teacher Pilot informational flyer. If you have any questions, contact Sarah Nelson, Director of IT & Special Programs, Annalisa Miner or Lisa Wymore, Consultants for English Language Learners.
