Summer Youth Internship Project grant is now available until March 2

Looking to expand your internship opportunities for students? Future Ready Iowa’s Summer Youth Internship Project grants are now available! These grant opportunities are designed to:

Help students between the ages of 14-21 explore and prepare for high-demand careers.
Gain experience in the work environment.
Develop the personal skills necessary to be successful in the workplace.

Requirements for the grant include:

Only one grant proposal per employer, nonprofit, educational and community group is allowed.
The summer internship must be held for a minimum of six weeks during the summer of 2022 between the dates of May 1 and August 20.
Project completion deadline is Friday, August 20.
Applications must be submitted through Iowa’s Funding Opportunity Search and Grant Management System by March 2.

Priority will be given to programs that provide internships to high school students who are at risk of not graduating, from low-income families or from communities under-represented in the Iowa workforce.
