UNI Department of Languages & Literatures awarding $500 scholarships
The University of Northern Iowa is inviting Iowa high school juniors and seniors to submit their writing in English, French or Spanish to the UNI Department of Languages & Literatures High School Writing Competition.
A $500 UNI scholarship will be awarded in each category. Students need to attend UNI in the semester immediately following their high school graduation to qualify.
Entries are to follow these four categories:
- Creative writing in English
- Critical writing in English
- Creative or critical writing in Spanish
- Creative or critical writing in French
All writers are welcome to submit pieces to all four, but only one entry maximum is allowed per category.
The deadline for submission is December 1, 2021. All questions and entries should be emailed to purplepawpress@uni.edu.
