University of Northern Iowa offers Leadership Camps, Network Think Tanks
The University of Northern Iowa Institute for Educational Leadership received a grant entitled “Leading and Learning with Character” through the Kern Family Foundation. As part of the grant, the university is hosting Think Tanks and Leadership Camps (approved for evaluator renewal) for principals, superintendents and other school leaders.
Approved for Evaluator Renewal credit, Leadership Camps are two-day opportunities to learn with colleagues and share challenges/successes of the evaluation The cost of the two-day camp is $75 for one graduate credit (reduced from $509) with all materials and lunches included. Leadership Camps are currently scheduled for multiple sites across the state with additional sites added as dates and locations are secured.
Networking Think Tanks
School and district leaders are invited to join us for facilitated conversation around challenges facing Iowa school leaders and strategies for addressing the challenges. Each participant will have the opportunity to share a challenge and dialogue with others regarding possible actions to address the challenge. A Tuning Protocol format will be used to facilitate the conversation.
