Help shape future mentoring and induction support by participating in short survey

Central Rivers AEA is collaborating with staff from several AEAs to gather information regarding mentoring and induction support for beginning teachers and mentors and we are requesting your input!

In April, several AEAs have an opportunity to meet with representatives with all 39 teacher prep programs in Iowa at the IACTE conference.  Our intent is to start a conversation about how both AEAs and teacher prep programs can best collaborate in support of beginning teachers and mentors. The goals of this work is to better meet the needs of new teachers in order to prepare and sustain quality teachers in the profession.

Your voice in this process is vital to help build our collective understanding. This one survey is set up to gain insights from administrators, mentor coordinators, mentors and beginning teachers (Year 1 & Year 2).  The survey should only take five minutes to complete and is open now until 4 pm on March 13, 2020.

Please feel free to send this survey link to all your current administrators, mentors/mentor coordinators and first and second year teachers who are new to the profession within your district.  We have tried to include all of these positions within n sharing of this message — but we may have missed some important people.

In April, our agency will share the data that was collected at the IACTE conference and develop next steps to collaborate between Iowa Teacher Prep programs and Iowa AEAs.  We will also share the data and our outcomes from this work with all of our districts within CRAEA.

Thank you for the support and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns:
