Higher education opportunities announced for aspiring school leaders

The University of Iowa Educational Leadership program has some exciting information to share with potential leadership candidates within your district. As the educational leader for your area, we are asking you to identify individuals whom you feel have leadership potential. Every educator who applies to the Educational Leadership program with a letter of support from their district superintendent or AEA Chief Administrator will have the application fee waived for either summer 2020 or fall 2020 admissions.

In addition, the University of Iowa has added an Ed.D. to their program of study, with sub-tracks in K-12 leadership and Higher Education. We are excited about the opportunities that this program will provide for educational leaders across the state. Not only is this a great opportunity for anyone seeking an Ed.D. but it should be of special interest to those school leaders who have already completed an Ed.S. Additional information is available at www.education.uiowa.edu/edd

An additional incentive is that the University has set aside ten $500 scholarships for MA applicants for the spring and fall terms. Students can qualify for consideration by meeting the April 30th or July 1st deadlines, respectively. Also, the GRE is no longer required for candidates in the MA program.
