Many school districts are facing a critical shortage of substitute teachers making it difficult to release classroom teachers for needed professional learning. Central Rivers Area Education Agency (CRAEA) will offer a substitute authorization course (#3405) consisting of two and a half days of interactive learning focusing on ethics, diversity, instructional strategies, and behavior management. All assignments are completed in class allowing for participants to apply for their licensure at the conclusion. Further details can be found on this flyer. Online registration for one of the following four dates can be found on the AEA System Professional Learning System.

  • October 25-27, 2019, in Waverly
  • November 21-23, 2019, in Cedar Falls
  • January 23-25, 2020, in Cedar Falls
  • March 12-14, 2020, in Cedar Falls
