Iowa School Public Relations Association conference to feature Dr. Joe Sanfelippo, held at Central Rivers AEA


Change the narrative and empower stakeholders to tell your district’s story, safely communicate your new state-mandated emergency plan, and avoid costly copyright lawsuits. This conference is for any school leader who also takes on the community relations role in their district.

The Iowa School Public Relations Association (ISPRA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Joe Sanfelippo will be the keynote at the 2019 ISPRA Fall Conference on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 to be held at Central Rivers AEA in Cedar Falls.

Keynote: Dr. Joe Sanfelippo

Superintendent Dr. Sanfelippo started the #1minwalk2work Leadership Challenge, and co-authored The Power of Branding-Telling Your School’s Story. Sanfelippo was named one of five K-12 administrators to watch in 2018 by Education Dive. He has been a featured speaker in multiple states in the areas of Advancing the Use of Social Media for School Leaders, Telling Your School Story, Creating a Culture of Yes, and Personalized Professional Growth for Staff. Sanfelippo is the Superintendent of the Fall Creek School District in Fall Creek, WI.

Speaker: Jane Colacecchi

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contractor and Iowa School Safety Alliance Board member Jane Colacecchi has smart ways to share your school’s emergency plan with parents and the community without compromising student and staff safety. She will also provide a foundation for helping your families prepare for any school emergency.

Speaker: Ahlers and Cooney

Ahlers and Cooney, P.C., the law firm representing many of Iowa’s largest school districts, will offer copyright basics every school employee should know to avoid annoying demand letters and costly lawsuits.

New this year: Professional portraits will be offered at no charge to attendees from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., and again over the lunch break.

A light breakfast and full lunch are included in your conference fee. Registration must be completed by Friday, Oct. 18. Due to scheduling of space and resources, no refunds will be offered for the ISPRA Fall Conference.
