School improvement supports available

Schools recently designated as either targeted or comprehensive through Iowa’s implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) have been busy engaging in activities that will serve to assist them in identifying needs and in developing plans of action to enhance their school improvement efforts.  However, schools do not need to have a formal ESSA designation to gain access to the resources that are available on Iowa’s ESSA Support Site. If you are looking for protocols, guides and professional learning tools (in the areas of MTSS needs assessment, implementation, Universal Instruction and Intervention Systems) to assist with your building’s school improvement efforts, you are encouraged to check out the ESSA website.

For additional information and support, we encourage you to contact your Central Rivers AEA Regional Administrator or School Improvement consultant.

Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) updates include the  Assessment Blueprints – (scroll to bottom of the page). Also if you have not already checked out the other resources that have been loaded into the http://iowa.pearsonaccessnext.com/ site take a look as more and more resources being added. If you are wanting ISASP Email Updates on the latest information, use this link to request an email be sent directly to you.
