Teaching through Tasks and Technology course now open

Please take note of an upcoming learning opportunity for you and your teachers called AIW – Teaching through Tasks and Technology.  This newly-developed course is being offered for one license renewal credit. This course is a blended learning experience, with the online portion beginning December 3rd and a face-to-face meeting on February 5th, 2019, at the Cedar Falls Central Rivers AEA location.

In this course, participants will develop an understanding of how linking technology with construction of knowledge, discipline inquiry, and value beyond school can increase task effectiveness and positive student outcomes.  Participants will collaborate to develop a plan for integrating technology into classroom tasks and then analyze those tasks using a newly-developed rubric as well as the SAMR rubric.

Please register by November 19th for this offering by visiting the Central Rivers AEA professional learning site and searching for course #160428: AIW – Teaching through Tasks and Technology.  This workshop is open to both schools that are engaging in AIW as well as those that are not current AIW schools.
