Makerspaces Meetup
A Maker Meetup is an opportunity to chat and tinker with like-minded educators. By networking, learning and sharing with others, we can bring design making to all youth. The day will include a keynote by an expert in the area of Makerspaces, Kevin Jarrett with sessions throughout the day. Other Presenters will include district personnel and community business partners.
Content Strands Include:
- TL/MS
- Leadership – Admin & TL
- PreK-2 Interdisciplinary
- HS Interdisciplinary – STEM/CAPS/IJAG/Iowa BIG North
- 3-5 Interdisciplinary
- MS Interdisciplinary
Who should attend? Every content area can take advantage of the maker movement to engage students. Learn how you can create collaborative opportunities within your building and classroom. Teachers, instructional coaches, principals, teacher librarians, and anyone who is excited about students expanding their skills in creative problem solving, team building, and innovation will benefit from attending.
