Statewide voluntary preschool program orientation now available for new teachers

The statewide orientation is essential to a new preschool teacher’s introduction to the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP). This opportunity will include four to six coaching sessions to engage new teachers in the various required components of SWVPP, curriculum and assessment. Topics during the orientation include:

  • Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards
  • Iowa Early Learning Standards
  • Teaching Strategies GOLD
  • Creative Curriculum
  • myIGDIs
